There has been an expansion of publicly listed vaccination sites in Bergen county, according to msn.com.

Even though sites may or may not accept patients directly, New Jersey suggests that everyone must check in with different sites to see if they will be allowed to take the vaccine, msn.com continues.

Two months ago, Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli mentioned that with the expansion of vaccination sites, the main goal is to vaccinate 70% of the adult population in Bergen County.

5,000 Bergen County educators are scheduled to be vaccinated by Valley Hospital in Paramus, according to Patch.com.

The Bergen County Education Association (BCEA) will be responsible for helping with this process. “BCEA is thrilled that Valley has instituted the Supporting Our Schools vaccination program. We greatly appreciate Valley’s recognition of how tirelessly our educators have worked throughout this health crisis,” said Bergen County Education Association President Sue McBride, msn.com reports.

BCEA believes that it is essential to make sure that Bergen County school employees are being vaccinated because they want to bring their schools and communities to a place of normalcy. They also want to make sure to maintain safe working environments, msn.com continues.

Most sites will not be available on the list because they will most likely be available to prisons or psychiatric hospitals, according to Health officials.

While speaking at the CHEMED Health Center, Gov. Phil Murphy states that he anticipates a moderate increase in doses to begin arriving in the state and that the supply of vaccinations will “explode”by early April, msn.com also reports.
