Dear FDU Community,
As the fall leaves bring a splash of color to our Fairleigh Dickinson University campus, a sense of excitement and new beginnings fills the air, much like my own journey as the Editor-in-Chief at The Equinox. From my early days as a Staff Writer, The Equinox has been more than just a source of news; it’s been a platform for our community’s voice, truly capturing the essence of life at FDU.
This season, we’re excited to bring you a series of engaging events. These aren’t just events; they’re a part of the rich tapestry we’re creating together at FDU, designed to inform and actively involve everyone in the vibrant life of our university.
1. Raffle Basket Giveaway: Kicking off our lineup is the much-anticipated Raffle Basket Giveaway, set in the SUB lobby. We welcome you on Tuesday, 11/14 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and Wednesday, 11/15 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The excitement will reach its peak with the prize draw on Monday, 11/20. This event isn’t just about the thrill of winning; it’s a unique chance to engage with fellow students and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of our campus.
2. Video Game Knight Tournament: Next, we present the Video Game Knight Tournament, an evening of digital camaraderie and spirited competition at the Knight Club on Thursday, 11/16, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or a newcomer to the world of gaming, this event promises to be a blend of fun, challenge, and community spirit.
3. Designer Day: Lastly, on Tuesday, 11/28, we invite you to express your creativity at our ‘Customize Your Own Merchandise’ event in the Kron Lounge, from 7:00-10:00 pm. This is more than just a creative exercise; it’s an opportunity to craft a personal emblem of your time at FDU, a keepsake that resonates with your individual identity and our collective spirit.
These initiatives are a testament to our commitment at The Equinox – not only to provide news but also to create platforms for engagement, expression, and the celebration of our diverse community.
