Metro Prom? Teaneck Group Helps Students Get Glamorous

At any age, who wouldn’t want a fairy-tale godmother? That dream came true over the last two days via Theresa Johnston and her team from Never Alone Again, a Teaneck nonprofit, who turned the second floor of the SUB into a fashion atelier Tuesday and Wednesday.

With glamorous gowns, spiky heels, jewelry and other items to make the Thursday, April 27 SGA Gala an enchanting event, students could browse racks of sparkly new dresses and add accessories for a gala look at no charge. Tuxedo jackets were on hand for gents, too. If back-to-school shopping and packing lists didn’t include formal evening wear, you now are covered.

The Equinox spoke with Johnston and got a tour of the beautifully arrayed items Wednesday afternoon. The founder and CEO of the organization and the mother of an FDU alumnus, Johnston says her team is delighted to help students find fine frocks to dance the night away in style at the posh Graycliff Banquet Hall in Moonachie.
