The Inter-Greek Council hosted its annual Meet the Greeks event in the Dish located in the SUB. Equipped with a stage and ample space for organization tables and guests, the Greeks were met with an amazing turnout and high energy.
Meet the Greeks is an informational event here at FDU that showcases all the active fraternities and sororities on campus. Organizations introduce themselves to the audience in order to intrigue potential new members as well as educate everyone on what they stand for and value.
After an introduction by the Inter-Greek Council, each organization had a chance to introduce its leadership members, and showcase their unique strolls, steps, and salutes. These showcases were spectacular, from the energetic sequences of strolls by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, inc., to the unique salutes of Lambda Theta Phi Fraternity, inc.
Littered around the Dish were tables for each organization with attendees ready to inform those who are interested in learning more about the organization. Those who were interested were also able to sign up to learn about upcoming informationals for that specific organization.
After all the strolls and information, all the Greeks with strolls lined up on the dance floor, showcased their unique strolls in unison to the same songs. Even as the event was coming to an end, organizations like Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity inc., and Lambda Theta Alpha Sorority, inc. kept strolling and dancing until the SUB closed.
The event was an overall huge success and served as a great way for Greeks and non-Greeks to connect here on the Metropolitan campus.
