FDU Men’s Soccer got a special surprise on Wednesday after their matchup with Manhattan, as they were highlighted by ESPN on its famous SportsCenter Top 10 segment.

The Knights came in at number four on the countdown with the program spotlighting a defensive masterclass from junior goalkeeper Juan Martín Barahona.

Barahona came away with an incredible eight saves, which was a season-high for the team this year. The junior’s performance was made all the more impressive by the fact that he was making his first-ever start as goalie as alluded to on the ESPN broadcast.

While the honor was certainly exciting, FDU is undoubtedly looking for tangible wins in the record book, especially as they head into the conference schedule.

The Knight’s next match will take place on Sunday, Sep. 25 where they hope to pick up their first conference victory on the road against Sacred Heart.
