The Knights scored their fifth win of the season on Tuesday, Sep. 20, sweeping Manhattan 3-0 at home.

With the victory, FDU was able to snap a three game losing streak to bring its overall record to 5-10.

The Knights led in all major stat categories as a team and got solid performances from their stars, including a 12 kill day for outside hitter Kylie Nott. Among the other standout performances were Hannah Schmidt and Samantha Wittholz who combined for seven of the squad’s nine aces. Libero Sarah Watts was also a crucial piece to the win as she compiled a game high 11 digs.

Schmidt made her mark on other areas of the game as well, leading all players with 21 assists and coming in second on the team in digs with six.

The Knights will look to take some of this momentum into their first conference battle of the season when they go up against Merrimack at home on Friday, Sep. 23.
