The Knights concluded their appearance in the Rose Hill Classic on Sep. 3, winning their first contest of the day against Niagara by a score of 3-0, but dropping the second game of the day against Penn 1-3.

In the first game against Niagara the Knights dominated as they led the game in total points, aces, kills, assists, blocks, and digs by a significant margin. The first two sets were fairly closely contested but FDU ran away with the third set 25-8 to complete the sweep of Niagara.

Kylie Nott and Sofia Rampazzo would both lead the game in kills with 11 each. Rampazzo also led all players in aces with seven, followed by Tatijana Fucka who led the defense with five blocks, and Hannah Schmidt who aided her squad with 25 assists.

In the second game of the day against Penn, FDU put up a good fight but came up just short. Penn’s offense would come up big as they supplied nine more kills than the Knights and also aced them nine times.

The Knights now hold a 2-4 record for the year and sit fourth in the NEC. FDU will now have a few days off as they prepare for their next contest against NJIT on Tuesday, Sep. 6.
