The Knights contest against Army ended in a 1-1 draw.
It would be Tony Gomez who would once again propel the Knights, scoring his second goal of the season early in the game at the 12:10 mark of the first period.
The rest of the team struggled, however, as Gomez’s goal in the first period would be their only goal of the game despite attempting 17 total shots.
This left the door open for Army as they struck at the 46th minute of the game with Brandon Bryant scoring his first goal of the season off of an assist from Gage Guerra.
Although a draw is not the outcome the Knights would’ve liked, they can still call their squad undefeated for a little while longer with a 1-0-1 record in the early stages of the 2022 regular season.
FDU will be back in action on Friday, Sep. 2, when they take on 1-1 Navy on the road.
