The FDU track and field teams spent their first half of the weekend at the Weaver Stadium in Princeton, NJ to compete in the Larry Ellis Invitational.
For the men’s team, Salif Mane finished the triple jump competition in first place with a 16.30m mark. With this mark, Mane also beat his personal record and the program record for outdoor triple jump. Ako Hislop finished the 200m dash finals in seventh place with a time of 21.51.
For the women’s team, Chloe Lucas made a personal best after emerging from the 400m dash in third place with a 55.36 time. Lisa Warfvinge placed sixth in the triple jump competition with a 11.98m mark. Shantelle Riley’s eighth place finish in the 100m dash finals meant that her time of 11.99 defeated Temple, Princeton, Penn and Navy.
The next competition for the Knights will be the North Carolina A&T Invitational at Truist Stadium on April 23 in Greensboro, NC.
