Men’s Golf Comes in Seventh Place in Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

FDU Men’s Golf competed at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate event in Williamsburg, Virginia from March 28-29 and placed seven out of 15.

As a team the Knights finished the course in 912 total strokes which landed them at over 50 par for the course. The team finished with their best single round score since September as they recorded a 293 in the first round.

Individually for FDU, freshman Leon Heitz tied for eighth place overall in the event, finishing with a 223, senior Jaime Julve came in 17th and finished with a 226, junior Freddie Spencer came in 25th and finished with a 236, freshman Pyae Phyo Thun came in 58th and finished with a 241 and freshman Jake Lowis came in 69th and finished with a 244.

Next on the schedule for the Knights will be the Sacred Heart Invitational in Milford, Conn. from Apr. 10-12 at 9 a.m.
