The women’s basketball team was defeated by seventh seeded Bryant in an upset with a score of 44-38 on Thursday night.
FDU fought a good fight, keeping the game close in every quarter.
With an electric crowd at the Stratis Arena, the number one seeded Knights played a very defensive game with Chloe Wilson getting two steals within the first two minutes of play.
Wilson was also the leading scorer with 13 points. Aniya Bell had six while NEC Player of the Year Madison Stanley had five.
The Bryant Bulldogs will go on to face the third seed being Mount St. Mary’s in Maryland for the NEC Championship game while the Knights will continue postseason play at the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
