FDU came away victorious in their final regular season matchup versus the Pioneers by a score of 65-48.
Madison Stanley pulled off a signature big-time performance, totaling 24 points on 8-16 shooting which gave her her fourth 20+ point game of the season. The star forward also got assistance from teammates Aniya Bell and Dahomee Forgues who combined for 23 points and five of the players made threes. The Knights as a team would finish 23-58 (39.7%), 8-20 from deep (40%), and 11-14 (78.6%) from the foul line.
The Knights will now carry a two-game win streak into the postseason and can proudly say they achieved the most wins in FDU’s program history.
The team will have to maintain its focus. They were able to achieve the most regular season wins in Knights’ history and a regular season championship to accompany, but the players and coaches will surely have their sights set on something far more prestigious – an NEC championship.
The team will look to enjoy their three-game break before they are back in action at home on Monday, March 7 at the Rothman Center.
