The women’s fencing team competed at Wagner College in the Palestis Memorial Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 27.
The team was able to achieve 26 individual wins.
Grad students Gabriel Waston and Shea Sanders and freshman Avery LaRusso gained five individual bout victories, combining for over half of the team’s total bout victories during the day.
Freshman sisters Dominique Greaux-Gist and Jordana Greaux-Gist each totaled four wins and freshman Emily Bone also added three bout victories to FDU’s total score.
The final round of the invitational FDU was triumphant with a 17-8 victory against Yeshiva University.
Up next, the women’s fencing team will await NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional qualification.
