Knights Win Home Opener Against Saint Peter’s

The baseball team faced Saint Peter’s University on Wednesday, Feb. 23 where they defeated the Peacocks 12-3 in nine innings. 

The game started with pitcher Joey Kosowsky who also earned the win, pitching five innings. Kosowsky also only gave up two runs and three hits. 

The Knights started off their scoring streak with a sacrifice fly from Joan Sosa to drive in Justin Sierra. Tom Ruscitti kept the streak going by hitting a single, followed with another single by TJ Werner. The Knights would keep following the trend that would lead them to 12 runs. 

FDU had a total of 17 hits, 11 RBI’s and eight walks. 

Up next, the Knights face James Madison in a three-game series starting on Friday, Feb. 25.
