Who Will Take It All, Rams or Bengals?

With Super Bowl LVI set to kick off in just a few hours, everyone including the FDU community wants to know who will be taking home the championship.

The Super Bowl is set to host the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA., which just so happens to be the home stadium for the Los Angeles Rams.

There is history to be made underlying between both teams as they get set to compete against one another.

The Cincinnati Bengals are one of 12 franchises to have never won a Super Bowl. The Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow, is also the first quarterback to have taken their team to the Super Bowl in only their second NFL season and it will also be his first Super Bowl appearance. Not only does he have this accomplishment but has the chance to be the first quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy, a College National championship, and a Super Bowl.

For the Los Angeles Rams, this will be the first Super Bowl appearance for their quarterback Matthew Stafford. The Rams had also decided to bring back their former safety Eric Weddle out of retirement for the playoffs to also make his first appearance in a Super Bowl after playing in the NFL for 13 seasons.

This game will also be the first playoff matchup with two head coaches under 40 since 1952. If Sean Mcvay wins, he will be the youngest head coach to have ever won a Super Bowl.

However, the Rams have the advantage of playing in their home stadium, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

The Equinox took a poll on our instagram on Friday, Feb. 11 to see who the FDU community thought would win.

By a vote of 55%, the people of FDU believe that the Rams will win the championship against the Bengals.

As for me, I believe the Bengals are going to be the ones ending up with the last laugh, but we will just have to wait for the game to end to find out who was right.

Will it be me or the FDU community?
