Women’s Basketball Beats Binghamton

The Knights defeated Binghamton by a score of 63-40 on Wednesday, Dec. 1. 

Several Knights stepped up to the plate to help lead the Knights to a win. 

Sierra DeAngelo led the Knights with 16 points in her first start of the season. 

Celia Carbonell and Devyn Scott also helped contribute with a combined 18 points. Carbonell had 10 while Scott had eight. 

Binghamton shot 16-56 (28.6%) overall. From the three-point line, they shot 1-18 (5.6%) and 7-10 (70%) from the free-throw line. 

FDU shot 24-57 (42.1%) overall. From the three-point line, they shot 4-15 (26.7%) and 11-13 (84.6%) from the free-throw line. 

With the win, the Knights are now 3-4 overall and are tied for first with the rest of teams in the NEC because the teams have yet to face each other in the Northeastern Conference. 

The Knights will look to continue the momentum when they face Delaware State on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at home.
