Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. kicked off their local Founders week by teaching the FDU community and their sisterhood about the environmental and fashion benefits of thrifting.
Eta chapter was founded on the Metropolitan campus on November 11, 1990. The sorority is best recognized for its sisterhood, strong leadership, philanthropy and catering to the needs of not only women and children, but the FDU community as well.
The chapter’s President, Ana Carrasquillo, provides shopping tips and benefits on the thrills of thrift shopping.
“Through thrifting, you can figure out your style, and figure out who you are as a person through expressing yourself in clothing. With saving money and helping the environment and like we said, catering to the needs of women and children, we want women to feel comfortable in their own skin whether they’re shopping from Gucci or a thrift store.” says Carrasquillo.
