Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Nassau Invitational

The men’s golf team ended its fall season in sixth place on Oct. 26 at the Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, N.Y.

After the cancellation of the first game on Oct. 25 due to inclement weather, the team made a combined team score of 609 (300, 309). Freshman Leon Heitz earned 146 points, senior Jaime Julve earned 147 points, freshman Langdon Aronson earned 158 points, senior Tristan Mahraj earned 158 points and freshman Pyae Phyo Thu earned 168 points. 

Heitz led with the most points, placing fourth out of 48 golfers. Julve scored another top 10 finish for the fourth time this fall. LIU and St. John’s made first place, earning 595 points in total.

The Knights will continue in the spring on Feb. 11 at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational in St. George, Utah.
