The Epsilon Xi chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity International held their annual H’Owl Many Licks philanthropy event for Donate Life America on Tuesday, Oct. 19 in the Rutherford room in the Student Union Building.

Once everyone had arrived, Donte Nowak began the event by telling everyone about Donate Life America. This organization is working to increase the number of donated organs and tissues to help save lives across the country.

After that, the fun began as volunteers were asked to come forward to see who could get to the center of a tootsie pop first.

Participants paid $2 to help raise money for Donate Life America and the winner was awarded with a bucket of candy.

It was a race between all participants, but Juan-Lorenzo Martinez came out on top, reaching the center of the tootsie pop first and winning the candy.

*I did choose to participate on behalf of Alpha Sigma Tau*

The brothers of Sigma Pi then thanked everyone for coming to the event and everyone headed out.
