The FDU women’s soccer team (7-4-2, 4-1-0 NEC) won against CCSU (7-4-0, 4,2,0 NEC) on University field in Hackensack, New Jersey on Oct. 10. Each team went head to head in the first half fighting to make the first goal.
CCSU were the first to score on the 33’ after the ball bounced off an FDU offender. Forward Aitana Martinez-Montoya got back level to CCSU with a pass from midfielder Gina Steiner.
Midfielder Madelyn Robbins made the first corner kick of the match on the 74’. Robbins passed the ball to defender Christa Waterman, which led to Waterman’s first goal of the season.
Even though the CCSU Blue Devils gave a tough match, the FDU Knights were able to reach a 2-1 victory by the end of the game.
