The Knights lost against Merrimack 2-1 in double overtime on Thursday, Sept. 30 in North Andover, Mass.
Despite the loss, the Knights outshot the Warriors 22-19 in total and 11-10 shots on goal.
Midfielder Gina Steiner led the Knights with five shots on goal and four of them on target. Forward Aitana Martinez-Montoya logged her third goal of the season with the first goal of the game off an assist by forward Kiomy Luperton.
The Knights kept their momentum going with a 17-3 advantage on shots and 8-2 advantage on goals.
Merrimack held a strong defense after Ella Cormier would tie the game at 1-1.
It remained 1-1 after the 90 minutes and took the game into overtime. Merrimack edged out the win with a clutch goal ending the match with just a minute into the second overtime.
The loss brings the Knights to 5-4-2 overall and 2-1-0 in the NEC where they are ranked fourth behind Central Connecticut State.
The next game for the Knights will take place in Fairfield, Conn. against Sacred Heart on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 3 p.m.
