The men’s soccer team tied 1-1 at the conference opener against Sacred Heart on Sunday night.
The Knights played hard into the first half with no goals on either side until Sacred Heart’s Robert Tullonge scored a goal in the low left by a header in the last 3 minutes of the first half.
The Knights came back in the last 45 seconds of the first half when sophomore forward Jeremy Opong scored a goal in the low right by a header, bringing the score to 1-1. The game trailed on into overtime with no successful shots on either side, tying the game.
The next game for FDU men’s soccer will be a conference game against Saint Francis at home on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.
