Nearly 30% of Bergen County Residents Now Fully Vaccinated

29% of Bergen County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Northjersey.com reports.

The CDC defines fully vaccinated as two weeks after someone received the final dose of a vaccine, whether it is a single dose or two dose vaccine.

In total, Bergen County administered over 690,000 vaccines, up 12% from last week’s total of over 620,000, the New Jersey Department of Health reports.

Bergen County doesn’t make the top five of New Jersey’s most vaccinated counties, which are: Morris County (35%), Cape May County (35%), Gloucester County (31%), Atlantic County (29%) and Burlington County (29%), northjersey.com continues.

With the vaccine eligibility expanding to people 16 years and older on April 19, the hopes of cases tapering off and a possible state herd immunity are held high.

COVID-19 Numbers

There are 3,475 new positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey, with 322 being from Bergen county.
