COVID-19 cases are nearing a third wave peak, even with vaccinations increasing in New Jersey.
Gov. Phil Murphy’s staff has once again unveiled a prediction model for the third wave of cases, according to NJ.com.
NJ’s average cases is up 42% from a month ago and while the third wave isn’t expected to hit its peak until mid-April, it could take until mid-May, NJ.com reports.
The high-end of this estimation expects NJ to hit over 8,000 new cases in one day, NJ.com continues.
FDU announced in-person graduation celebrations across multiple days for both classes of 2020 and 2021, but could a third wave of the pandemic change this?
Would it be socially responsible to have students and family members from possibly across the country travel for graduation, when the third wave peak could last until a few days before the first graduation ceremony date?
This is something FDU will have to consider.
From yesterday to today, there was an increase of 4,445 positive cases in New Jersey, with 511 new cases from Bergen County.
