FDU Men’s Golf Wins the Carpetbagger Classic
Junior Jaime Julve took top individual honors and led the men’s golf team to the championship of the Carpetbagger Classic at Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, Md., on Sunday, March 21, after a two-day team total of 596 (301, 295). Julve had a two-round total of 145 (75,70).
The men concluded the first round on Saturday, March 20, with a combined score of 301. The tourney hosted nine collegiate men’s teams including host Bucknell, Lafayette College, Mount Saint Mary’s (NEC), Bryant (NEC), Robert Morris (NEC), Towson, Iona, and SUNY-Binghamton.
The Knights are 1-1 and will play at the Penn National Golf Club in Fayetteville, Pa., on April 2.

Women’s Golf Takes Second in Knights’ Shootout
Senior Caterina Tatti shot a 72 to lead the Knights to second in their Knights’ Shootout. At their home course, the par-72 Watchung Valley Country Club in Watchung on Sunday, March 21. This was the season opener. St. John’s won the 10-team tourney with a 310 team score, 22 over par.

FDU Men’s Tennis
The men’s tennis team (1-3, 1-0 NEC) fell 5-2 to NJIT (4-0) on Wednesday, March 17, at home, the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility, in a non-conference match. Junior Mehdi Dhouib and senior Maciej Autuch collected singles wins and senior Eduardo Cabral and freshman Arjun Sriram won at the No. 3 doubles slot.

FDU Men’s Soccer
Freshman Jeremy Opong’s first goal in his college career was golden and led FDU to a 3-2 extra-time win over host LIU on Monday, March 15. The Knights improved to 2-0 in the NEC.
Opong, from Ontario, Canada, was named the NEC Rookie of the Week for the accomplishment.
The Knights were held scoreless for 80 minutes before exploding for two goals in the last 10 minutes of the match to tie it and force extra time.
Junior Joshua Ferreria scored in the 89th minute to send the match to extra time. FDU was playing with 10 after a red card was assessed on midfielder Fallou Tounkara.
Eric Dlabal scored the first goal for the Knights in the 81st minute, the freshman’s first collegiate tally.
FDU Women’s Bowling
The Fairleigh Dickinson women’s bowling team has recently competed at the Northeastern conference tournament where they were ranked first in the conference and faced Duquesne, Sacred Heart, and Mount St Mary’s and won the NEC championship. The Knights received an automatic qualifier into the NCAA tournament.
The women’s bowling team went 35-3 overall and 19-2 in conference play. In the conference tournament. seniors Jenna Henderson, Aimee Sherman, Amanda Chrzanowski, and sophomore Cameron Spring made impressive performances throughout the tournament to lead to the win.
FDU Men’s Baseball
The FDU men’s baseball team has begun its season and recently faced Wagner where they went 1-2 in the series. This series brings the Knights’ record to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play. They return to the field on March 26 to face Central Connecticut State at home. The Knights currently sit sixth in the conference.
FDU Women’s Soccer
The Fairleigh Dickinson women’s soccer team had their game against Central Connecticut State postponed on March 23. The Knights are currently 3-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play. They head back to the field on April 2 where they will face Mount St Mary’s. The Knights currently sit second in the conference.
FDU’s Women’s Volleyball
The FDU women’s volleyball team recently had a doubleheader against Bryant on Senior day on March 17 where they lost both games to bring their overall record to 3-5 and 2-4 in the conference. In the match against Bryant, senior Victoria Demmene recorded 22 kills while senior McKenna Setterlund with 46 assists and 17 digs. The Knights are headed back to the court on March 23 against LIU at home. The Knights are currently fifth in the conference.
