Gov. Phil Murphy signed SJR82 which declares that every year from now on March 9th will be COVID-19 Heroes day to recognize all nurses, doctors, first responders, grocery store workers, and other essential workers who have been on the frontlines since the first day the coronavirus pandemic hit America, according to nj.gov.
“From nurses and doctors to grocery store workers and law enforcement, countless essential workers have been working day and night to serve New Jerseyans during these trying times,” Murphy said on nj.gov.
This announcement came just 5 days after the one year anniversary of the first COVID-19 case in NJ. We can’t thank the people on the frontlines who are still at the face of the pandemic enough.
