Today’s update will focus on the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine coming to New Jersey.

Let’s jump right in.

On Friday, the FDA unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine for usage in adults, according to northjersey.com.

New Jersey is set to receive 70,000 doses of the one-shot vaccine in the coming week, northjersey.com continued.

This would be the country’s third COVID-19 vaccine if the FDA approves it for emergency use authorization purposes, according to nj.com.

“Quite simply, an approval of Johnson & Johnson’s application would be a game-changer,” said Gov. Phil Murphy in a Friday news briefing

“Simply having a third tool in our toolbox is critical,” Murphy continued.
