The Knights are coming off a much needed overtime win yesterday against the Mountaineers as they won the first game, 76-71. Preseason All-NEC senior guard Jahlil Jenkins led the Knights with 24 points as sophomore guard Brandon Rush has 15 points, freshman guard Joe Munden Jr. had 14 points and junior guard Brandon Powll had 12 points. Preseason All-NEC senior forward Elyjah Williams had 9 points.
Junior guard Deandre Thomas led the Mountaineers with 15 points as Preseason All-NEC junior guard Damian Chong Qui, redshirt junior forward Nana Opoku, and junior forward Mezie Offurum all had 11 points each in yesterday’s loss.
Jenkins, Williams, and senior forward Oscar Okeke will be honored before today’s game.
Jenkins leads the Knights with 17.2 PPG with Rush averaging 14.4 PPG, and Williams averaging 14.3 PPG.
Chong Qui leads the Mountaineers with 14.9 PPG with Opoku averaging 9.3 PPG.
