In today’s update, we will discuss the possible legalization of marijuana use in New Jersey within the coming days.

Let’s get right to it.

On Friday, the Senate Judiciary Committee made headway on a bill that would consider underage drinking and marijuana use or possession as the same offense, according to app.com

This new bill follows the trials and tribulations of the legislation of marijuana use in the state of New Jersey.

However, Gov. Phil Murphy has yet to take action since he has been pushing for the inclusion of cannabis-related penalties for underage users. Under this new bill, underage possession of marijuana would be subject to a written warning, according to marijuanamoment.net.

Nonetheless, Gov. Murphy has until Monday, Feb. 22 to sign this bill into effect.
