LIVE BLOG: FDU Men’s Basketball Against Wagner, Game 2

9:20 p.m.

FDU gets swept in both games against Wagner as they drop the second round robin game 95-86.

FDU falls to 7-11, 6-6 in the NEC while Wagner improves to 6-5, 6-4 in the NEC.

FDU shot 14-36 (38.9%) from the field, 8-14 (57.1%) from three, and 5-11 (45.5%) from the free-throw line while Wagner shot 18-30 (60.0%) from the field, 4-6 (66.7%) from three, and 13-23 (56.5%) from the free-throw line in the second half.

In total, FDU shot 30-65 (46.2%) from the field, 16-27 (59.3%) from three, anf 10-18 (55.6%) from the free-throw line while Wagner shot 35-63 (55.6%) from the field, 8-18 (44.4%) from three, and 17-27 (63.0%) from the free-throw line.

Williams led FDU with 27 points as Munden Jr. added 14 points. Powell had 14 points off the bench as Rush added 10 points. Jenkins had an off night with six points.

Morales led Wagner with 23 points with Ford adding 22 points and Martinez adding 21 points off the bench. Hunt had 14 points as Fletcher had 12 points. 

FDU will now host Saint Francis Brooklyn for a two game NEC round robin on Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Stratis Arena in the Rothman Center in Hackensack, NJ, while Wagner will travel to play Mount Saint Mary’s on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. at the Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, MD.

Wagner’s leading scorers are senior guard Elijah Ford with 18.5 PPG, followed by senior guard Alex Morales with 17.1 PPG, then freshman guard DeLonnie Hunt with 10.9 PPG, and senior guard Will Martinez with 10.0 PPG.
