Bergen County has made the decision to stop sharing COVID-19 vaccines with town health departments.

In Dec. 28, 2020, New Bridge Medical Center received 2,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccines were being distributed within Bergen County, MSN continued.

State health department spokesperson Donna Leusner is in charge of counting the amount of vaccines and declared that out of the 1,000 vaccines that are supplied in Bergen County in a day, 400 are being distributed in Ridgewood alone.

“Vaccine supply is very limited so vaccination sites cannot be guaranteed specific allotments at this time,” Leusner said, according to northnewjersey.com.
