LIVE BLOG: FDU Women’s Basketball Against St. Francis, Game 1

FDU shot 25-56 (44.6%), 8-20 (40%) from the field, and 2-3 (66.7%) from the free-throw line. 

The Terriers shot 22-50 (44%), 5-13 (38.5% from the field, and 18-25 (72.0%) from the free-throw line. 

For the Knights, Stanley led the team with 19 points. Mack added 14 points while Roters  had 10 points. 

For the Terriers, Horvath led the team with 21 points. Dimitrijevic added 17 points while Lassen had 15 points.

Mack leads the Knights with eight points with Stanley adding six points in the first half. Dimitrijevic leads the Terriers with eight points with Lassen adding six points in the first half as well. 

The Knights have made half of their shots and half of their threes in the first half as the offense continues to shine in the last couple of games and are holding the Terriers to only 32% shooting so far.

I am Anthony Covino the sports editor for the FDU Equinox joined by our News Editor Jhoana T Merino-Martinez who will be producing today’s live blog and our Editor-In-Chief Elizabeth Scalzo who will be updating Twitter throughout the game.

FDU is set to open up a two game set at Saint Francis Brooklyn at the Daniel Lynch ‘38 Gymnasium 

FDU is currently 9-6, 5-5 in the NEC while Saint Francis Brooklyn is 2-8, 2-8 in the NEC. The Knights sit sixth in the standings while the Terriers sit ninth in the standings 

The Terriers leading scorer is senior forward Ally Lassen with 14.2 PPG, followed by sophomore guard Nevena Dimitrijevic with 11.1 PPG, sophomore guard Alyssa Fisher with 10.3 PPG, and freshman forward Fruzsina Horvath with 10.2 PPG. 

The Knights leading scorer is senior forward Madison Stanley with 13.8 PPG followed sophomore guard/forward Maria Roters with 10.4 PPG.

FDU looks to sweep round-robin against Saint Francis University on Monday, February 9.
