Tom Brady Wins Seventh Ring; Experts Warn About New COVID Variant

In today’s daily news update, we discuss the results of last night’s Super Bowl and a COVID-19 warning from experts. 

Last night, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earned a decisive 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. 

Tom Brady, who already held the record for most Super Bowl wins by any player, now holds his seventh championship, according to CBS News

As far as COVID-19 goes, experts warn the highly contagious variant B.1.1.7 strain will soon become dominant in the US, according to CNN. A new study found significant community transmission may already be occurring. 

While the recent dip in cases may seem encouraging, they encourage not letting our guard down as we head until the spring season.
