FDU Wins in Dramatic Fashion 94-92 in Overtime

Last night, Jan. 26 FDU men’s basketball earned a much needed win (94-92) over Saint Francis University (PA) in the first NEC game. 

Preseason All-NEC senior forward Elyjah Williams led the team with 28 points as Preseason All- NEC senior guard Jahlil Jenkins added 17 points. Sophomore guard Brandon Powell added 11 points with freshman guard and freshman forward Joe Munden Jr. and John Square Jr. adding 10 points each. 

FDU improved to 3-9 with a 2-3 record in the NEC while SFU fell to 3-9 with a 2-6 record in the NEC. FDU sits seventh in the NEC standings while SFU sits tenth. The NEC standings as of now are: 1. Bryant, 2. Long Island University, 3. Saint Francis Brooklyn, 4. Mount Saint Mary’s, 5. Sacred Heart, 6. Merrimack, 7. Fairleigh Dickinson University, 8. Wagner, 9. Central Connecticut State University and 10. Saint Francis University (PA).

COVID-19 Numbers

This morning FDU emailed the first health and safety update for the semester. These COVID-19 cases date back to Jan. 14 when residents began the move-in process.

As of this morning there was an increase of 4,776 positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey, 458 of those cases were in Bergen County.
