FDU is coming off a disappointing two-game sweep where Merrimack outplayed them in both games. FDU is now 2-8 on the season with a 1-3 record in the NEC, while Saint Francis University (PA) is 3-8 with a 2-5 record in the NEC. FDU was without Preseason All-NEC senior forward Elyjah WIlliams and freshman forward Pier-Olivier Racine for both Merrimack games. FDU currently sits 10th in the NEC while Saint Francis sits ninth. After being ranked first in the preseason coaches poll, FDU now sits at the bottom of the standings 10 games into the season.
For FDU, sophomore guard Brandon Rush leads the team with 14.7 PPG with Williams averaging 14.3 PPG. Senior guard Jahlil Jenkins averages 14.2 PPG with sophomore guard Brandon Powell averaging 8.4 PPG for the Knights this year. The Knights missed the presence of Williams and Racine and hope to have them back for these next two games to keep their season alive.
For SFU, the leading scorer is senior guard Ramir Dixon-Conover with 14.5 PPG with junior forward Myles Thompson averaging 10.2 PPG and junior forward Marlon Hargis averaging 10.0 PPG and Senior forward Mark Flagg averaging 9.5 PPG. Freshman guard/forward Maxwell Land was just named NEC Rookie of the week after averaging 13.0 PPG in their round-robin split over Sacred Heart. Land currently averages 9.5 PPG, as well.
