During a Monday presser, President Joe Biden told reporters that the United States may achieve herd immunity by the summer and every person who wants a COVID-19 vaccine could receive a dose by spring 2021, ABC News reports.
Biden added that 1.5 million people may be able to be vaccinated “per day” throughout the next three weeks.
“It is going to be a logistical challenge that exceeds anything we’ve ever tried in this country,” according to ABC News.
Jan. 26, 2020 is a day many will look back upon and remember where they were, who they were with, and what they were doing when they got the news.
Today, we remember the great Kobe Bryant, on the anniversary of his death.
Bryant died after a helicopter crash that took the lives seven others, including his daughter, Gianna ‘Gigi’ Bryant.
Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Kobe and mother of Gianna, put out a statement on Jan. 16 about posting respectful remembrances of the tragedy via Instagram.
To be respectful was certainly my intention in writing today’s news update and, most importantly, why I chose to write it. This tragedy stuck with so many.
It wasn’t just fans of course; family, peers and an entire world was shaken outside of the sports landscape that I am so accustomed to.
Kobe was an all-time great basketball player, but he will be remembered as so much more than that to so many different people.
He was an icon, a family man and a person who gave his all in every aspect of life.
Gianna had a bright future playing basketball. She had a burning passion and a love for the game just like her father.
We celebrate their lives along with the seven others that perished, and we will remember them not just for today.
As of this morning there was an increase of 4,143 positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey, 346 of those in Bergen County.
|Tues. 1/26/2021||Mon. 1/25/2021|
|Bergen County||64, 390||64,044|
