Dr. Anthony Fauci has announced that President Joe Biden plans to reverse the Trump administration’s decision to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO), according to The New York Times.

This decision comes a day after Biden reinstated American ties with the organization.

Fauci, now the Biden’s administration’s chief medical adviser, made the official announcement during a virtual WHO executive board meeting, The New York Times, also reported.

On top of that, Fauci said that the U.S. intends to join the COVAX facility, a multinational effort that aims to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to low-income countries, The New York Times continues.

In sports, the FDU men’s basketball team were defeated 62-51 by the Merrimack Warriors (2-3,  2-3 NEC) in their return to action Thursday following a one-month hiatus.

After a 30-day break from play, the Knights (2-7, 1-2 NEC) dropped the first game of a four-game road trip due to a lackluster shooting night.

FDU shot just 32% from the field for the game. They were held to 29% in the second half and outscored by 14 points after leading at the end of the first half, 28-25.

Fortunately for the Knights, they get another crack at the Warriors at 4 p.m. today in North Andover, Massachusetts.
