Today’s edition of our daily news updates will focus on Gov. Phil Murphy closing state offices ahead of Inauguration Day.

State employees will work remotely on Jan. 20 when President-elect Joe Biden is sworn in as President, according to NJ.com.

“We felt that was the right thing to do given the level of tension right now in the county,” said Murphy in a Friday news conference

Murphy also reiterated, at the conference, that there is, “no specific threat,” but wants all New Jersey residents to lay low in the coming days.
