CCSU defeat FDU 77-56 and split the round-robin in this two games series.
FDU shot 21-59 (35.6%) from the field, 3-16 (18.8%) from three and 11-19 (57.9%) from the free throw line.
CCSU shot 23-54 (42.6%) from the field, 7-24 (29.2%) from three and 24-30 (80%) from the free throw line.
Mack and Stanley led the Knights with 14 points each as DeAngelo added 10 and WIlson had eight points off the bench.
Toppin led the Blue Devils with 16 points as Dejah Jenkins and Berube added 12 points each with Sutherland-Case adding 11 off the bench. Forker and McCamus had nine points each as well.
FDU fell to 4-4, 1-3 in NEC play while CCSU improved to 2-2, 2-2 in NEC. FDU will be back on Tuesday, Dec. 22 and will host Saint Peters at 7 p.m. at the Rothman Center.

We’re halfway through the final quarter and nothing is falling for the Knights. They trail by 23 and have to call a timeout. CCSU leads 69-46 with just under five minutes left.
Largest lead of the night for the Blue Devils. They are up by 20 with eight minutes remaining. This one is starting to get away from FDU.
CCSU leads 60-44 at the end of the third quarter as Toppin and Berube both have 12 points each with Claire Sutherland-Case adding 10. Stanley leads the Knights with 11 with DeAngelo and Wilson adding eight points each in this game.
Long offensive rebound for CCSU leads to a three-pointer for Toppin. The Knights turn it over on the other end. Momentum could be swinging back to the Blue Devils here with just under two minutes remaining in the third quarter. Lead back up to 12 for CCSU.
Wilson hits back-to-back layups for the Knights. She has eight points and the Blue Devils lead is down to single digits. FDU trails 51-42 with three minutes left in the third.
Timeout on the floor. CCSU leads the Knights by 13 halfway through the third quarter of play.
Berube lays it in to extend the Blue Devils lead to 51-38 in a back and forth start to the third quarter with five minutes remaining.
FDU starts out the third quarter on a 6-0 run as FDU are down 45-33 with seven minutes remaining in the quarter.

Stanley led the Knights with seven points as DeAngelo added six in the first half.
Toppin led CCSU with nine as McCamus added seven in the first half.
At halftime, CCSU has a big lead on FDU, 45-27 as FDU has struggled shooting and on defense in the first half. Live stats are still not up on the CCSU Athletics website.
FDU will need to defend better from the three to keep this game from getting much worse.
CCSU extends the lead to 18, 45-27 with FDU struggling mightily on defense in the first half.
The Blue Devils continue to get to the line. They push their lead to 15 and FDU seems all out of sorts to close out the first half of play.
Technical foul called on the floor. More free throws for CCSU as they extend their lead to 14 with two minutes left in the first half.
Toppin is feeling it. She hits a deep three to extend the Blue Devils lead to ten. The Knights trail 33-23 with a little over three minutes remaining in the second quarter.
Out of the timeout, Toppin dribbles her way around the defense, gets to the basket and lays it in plus the foul. She hits the free throw to complete the three-point play. Lead up to seven for CCSU, 30-23.
Quick 7-0 run for the Blue Devils to take back the lead. They now lead by four with just under five minutes left in the first half.
Wilson splits a pair then draws a charge on Forker at the other end. She delivers again with another basket to put FDU up 23-20.
McCamus lays it in to tie the game up at 20 with 6:38 remaining in the half.
CCSU leads 16-15 at the end of the first quarter, with no live stats from CCSU’s website right now.
DeAngelo gets fouled but is still able to lay it up and in. She completes the three-point play. The Knights trail 14-13 with a minute and a half left in the first quarter of play.
CCSU misses the free throw on the three-point play, but extends the lead to 14-10 with less than two minutes remaining in the opening quarter.
Scott grabs the rebound, lays it in and draws the foul for the three-point play. Scott hits the free throw to give FDU a 6-4 lead halfway through the first quarter.
Stanley hits the jumper to give FDU their first lead of the game, 3-2 with 7:49 remaining in the first quarter.

The women play Central Connecticut State University for the second game of a round-robin series this weekend. FDU is coming off of a dramatic win in the first game where they won 56-55 with Sierra DeAngelo who made the game winning shot with less than 20 seconds left in the game.
The Knights will look to sweep the round-robin today against CCSU and then will return home to play Saint Peters on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. before winter break.
