New Jersey is up to just about 421,000 total cases of COVID-19. There are 42,264 coronavirus cases in Bergen County with 367 new cases having been reported.
In sports, the FDU’s men’s basketball team are back in action at the Rothman Center, Saturday at 2 p.m. against Drexel (4-2).
After an abbreviated break due to COVID-19 protocols, the Knights (1-5, 1-1 NEC) are seeking their second win of the season in their first game in as many as 10 days.
The team’s two-game series scheduled for earlier this week against Saint Francis was postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test.
An unexpected layoff like this could impact a team’s rhythm, but can also be used as a period to rest to be better suited down the stretch.
The team has had extra time to prepare for the Dragons so I expect a focused, rejuvenated Knights squad tomorrow afternoon in Teaneck, NJ.
The women’s basketball team are also scheduled for two games on the road this weekend.
They are scheduled to take on Central Connecticut State on Saturday at 4 p.m. as well as Sunday at 6 p.m. in New Britain, CT.
