From the Amazon fires, the droughts and the civil unrest following the murders of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd and others, to the ever-raging pandemic, 2020 has been “a year like no other.”

Despite the chaos, the one thing that’s remained true has been music.

That is why to wrap up the crazy year, we thought it important to showcase and highlight the wonderful music that has been made to help keep us sane this year.

Focusing primarily on December’s album releases, our staff has reviewed Bad Bunny’s “El Último Tour Del Mundo,” Miley Cyrus’s “Plastic Hearts,” Shawn Mendes’s “Wonder,” Taylor Swift’s “Evermore,” and Foster The People’s “In The Darkest of Nights, Let The Birds Sing.”

We hope this special segment inspires everyone to not only draw on their artistic side, but to keep alive the universal themes of these albums, especially during these difficult times: that of hope and love.

Other notable releases this year include Bad Bunny’s “YHLQMDLG,” Lady Gaga’s “Chromatica,” Taylor Swift’s “folklore,” Halsey’s “Manic,” and Selena Gomez’s “Rare.” They can all be found on Spotify and iTunes.

Early on in the month, The Equinox staff was asked to send a screenshot of their Spotify ‘2020 Wrapped.’ Based on that, we put together a Spotify song list which can be found here.
