Bergen County is currently doing everything in their power to find more information about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Saint Francis University changed the record of the FDU Women’s Basketball from 3-2 to 3-3 last night (64-48).
Due to last night’s inclement weather, testing at Bergen Community College is cancelled for today, according to Patch.com.
There are 416,983 confirmed COVID-19 cases in New Jersey with the addition of 5,701 new cases as of this morning, according to Google statistics. Bergen County has 41,216 confirmed cases with 337 new cases as of yesterday, according to usafacts.org.
Aecom, an engineering and construction company, is expanding a program for COVID-19 wastewater testing with Bergen County Utilities Authority, according to bcua.org.
With the analysis of 650 samples in 10 days, the team will monitor COVID-19 RNA in the Bergen County Utilities Authority’s sewer shed to find the early indication of infection.
Aecom President, Lara Poloni said, “Our wastewater experts are working alongside our partners to establish sampling regiments, analyze test results, and present data that can inform public health decisions and help our communities,” according to bizjournals.com.
The data collected from the samples will guide public health and emergency management officials in making decisions around social distancing, shelter in place orders, and strategies for vaccine distribution.
