Conference Play Begins for FDU Men’s Basketball and Former NYC Mayor Tests Positive

FDU basketball season is about to go into full swing, with a new format for games, as the coronavirus continues to infect more people in New Jersey.

The FDU men’s basketball team wrapped up its final non-conference game with a 79-67 loss to Providence. 

The Knights will now begin their conference play with a new round-robin schedule where they will play an NEC team two days in a row and then follow that same schedule with other NEC teams to finish off the season.

The next game for men’s basketball is against Central Connecticut State at 7 p.m. followed on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The FDU women’s basketball team has one non-conference game left, against Fordham, before conference play starts with the same round-robin format as men’s basketball.

The game against Fordham is also tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

Yesterday, New Jersey reported over 6,000 new cases and 543 of those cases were from Bergen County, according to the google statistics count.

There are a total of 370,000 COVID-19 cases in New Jersey with 38,145  in Bergen County as of yesterday.

Also, former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday following multiple visits across the country during the week.
