LIVE BLOG: FDU Women’s Basketball Against Binghamton

FDU earns their first win of the season with a 69-55 win over Binghamton. This was Binghamton’s first loss of the season

DeAngelo led the Knights with 17, Wilson added 15, Crystian added 13, Rotors had 12 and Mack had 10 points.

FDU shot 28-63 (44.4%) from the field, 4-18 (22.2%) from three and 9-14 (64.3%) from the free-throw line.

Bowman had a career high 22 points for the Bearcats on 11-17 shooting.

Binghamton shot 25-54 (45.3%) from the field, 3-12 (25%) from three and 2-9 (22.2%) from the free-throw line.

FDU will now travel to play Fordham ,on Tuesday December 8, the game will stream on ESPN+, while Binghamton will start conference play against Stony Brook University on December 19.

DeAngelo goes for a layup to bring FDU’s lead to 66-46 with less than nine minutes remaining in the last quarter.

5:28 p.m.

FDU leads 61-46 at the end of the third quarter with Wilson leading the Knights with 14. Bowman has a career high 20 points for the Bearcats.

5:25 p.m.

FDU now has five players in double-digit scoring as Wilson has 14, Roters has 12, Crystian has 11, and DeAngelo and Mack both have 10 as FDU leads 57-42 with less than two minutes remaining in the third quarter.


5:14 p.m.

Media timeout as FDU starts the second half on a 11-2 run to lead 53-34 with 6:26 remaining in the third quarter.

5:12 p.m.

DeAngelo converts the basket and the free throw to give FDU a 51-34 lead with 6:26 remaining in the third quarter. DeAngelo has 10 points. 

4:52 p.m.

At halftime, FDU ends the quarter on an 8-0 run and leads 42-32 going into the second half.

Wilson leads the Knights with 14, Crystian has nine, with Roters scoring eight and Mack adding seven.

Bowman leads the Bearcats with 10 as Moore added six in the first half.

Binghamton shot 14-28 (50%) from the field, 2-4 (50%) from three and 2-9 (22.2%) from the free-throw line.

Crystian made the steal and ran down to make the layup to put FDU up 42-32 with less than a minute left in the second quarter.

4:43 p.m.

Wilson makes both free throws as she puts FDU up 36-32 against Binghamton with less than three minutes remaining in the half.

4:38 p.m.

Media timeout as FDU is up 32-30 with 4:03 remaining in the half.  Wilson is a perfect 4-4  shooting with eight points and three rebounds as Roters has eight as well. Bowman leads the Bearcats with eight.

4:35 p.m.

First game back, Mack goes up for a layup to give FDU the lead, 26-24 with 7:12 remaining in the half.

4:25 p.m.

The Bearcats lead 22-20 at the end of the first quarter. Rotors leads the Knights with eight with DeAngelo adding four. Bowman and Moore lead the Bearcats with six a piece.

4:22 p.m.

Chloe Wilson tied the game at 20 for FDU with a minute remaining in the first quarter in a back and forth scoring affair to start the game.

4:16 p.m.

DeAngelo knocks in the basket and the foul to pull FDU within one, 16-15 with 4:13 remaining in the first quarter

4:11 p.m.

First media timeout as the Bearcats are up 14-13 with Roters leading the way with six for the Knights and Moore leads the Bearcats with six as well

4:08 p.m.

Roters has six for the Knights as this game is a back and forth battle in the first five minutes as the Bearcats are up 14-11.

4:05 p.m.

Today’s starting five for the Knights are Madeline Selvaggi, Lindsey Mack, Devyn Scott, Maria Rogers, and Sierra DeAngelo

Today’s starting five for Binghamton is Birna Benonysdottir, Zahra Barnes, Clare Traeger, Denai Bowman, and Hayley Moore.
