All FDU students should have received an email regarding the necessary COVID-19 training that is required before returning back to school for in-person classes on Sept. 14, 2020.
“This training course will provide rules and responsibilities you must abide by to help maintain a safe and healthy community. This training is important because it teaches the appropriate measures for stopping the spread of COVID-19 and helps students learn about social distancing. By completing the training you are also agreeing to abide by the Pledge and specific University return to campus policies,” said Gillian Small, the university provost, via email.
“I think it’s smart as long as we all cooperate and allows all of us to stay informed,” Jennifer Malti, a junior communications major, said via text.
Returning students can use their FDU email login to access the training courses. Freshmen must register to make and FDU email and use the same login and also complete three other training courses as well (Alcohol Awareness and Prevention; Know Your Limits, Impressions, and Lasting Choices: Protecting Our Campus from Sexual Assault.)
Once students login to the training course, they will have access to their mandatory courses and once completed, each student will receive an email containing a link to their completion certificate, upon successful completion of the courses.
Students have two weeks to complete these courses before arriving on campus before in-person instruction begins on September 14th.
