Men’s Soccer plays #18 ranked New Hampshire In First Round of NCAA Tournament

After FDU claimed the 2019 NEC Title by beating LIU in a 3-2 penalty shootout victory after regulation ended in a 1-1 tie on Sunday, the Knights awaited their opponent for the first round of the NCAA Tournament. 

The NCAA announced the bracket for the 2019 Men’s College Cup at 1 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will take on the 18th ranked New Hampshire Wildcats in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. 

The game will take place on Thursday at 6 p.m.

New Hampshire hails from the America East Conference with a record of 14-1-3 on the season. The Knights will make the four and a half hour trek to play New Hampshire at their field in Durham, New Hampshire. 

The winner of this first round matchup will play the number 19 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Virginia Tech was the ACC runner up with a record of 9-5-3 this year after losing to Wake Forest in the ACC Championship Game.
