FDU Begins Search for New Baseball Coach

By Anthony Covino

FDU Athletic Director Brad Hurlbut announced on Monday evening that FDU’s
Interim Head Coach Justin McKay will not return next season.

The Knights finished the season 15-37-1 with a 9-15 record in the Northeast Conference. This record did not allow the Knights to qualify for the conference playoffs.

Quote from FDU Website: “I would like to thank Justin for his service to Fairleigh Dickinson as well as his commitment to the baseball team. We wish him and his family the best in the next stage of their journey,” Hurlbut said.
McKay spent six seasons as the Knights’ recruiting coordinator under Former FDU Baseball Head Coach Gary Puccio.

McKay became the interim head coach on May 6, 2018, after Coach Puccio’s in-season retirement after eight years as head coach.

FDU’s national search for a new baseball coach is underway.
