FDU Shows True Colors

Staff Writer After a few days of fun filled and interactive activities, the Office of Student Life ended the school week with the Acts of Kindness Day event on Feb. 17. It was held in the SUB Lobby from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. and was organized to encourage students to find creative ways to be kind to other individuals and to continue to apply these manners proactively.

“We are encouraging students and the FDU community to be kind and reflect on themselves to do some-thing for others as simple as opening the door or saying please and thank you,” Amanda Salazar, a science major said.

Alongside Salazar was Miran-da Dworak, psychology major, who was helping encourage students to continue to be kind and volunteer for this year’s “Giving Back to Newark,” which will be conducted from Monday, March 13 until Wednesday, March 15  in Newark, NJ.

Salazar and Dworak also handed out Student Life’s Calendar of Events with pens to inform both stu-dents and visitors on what’s scheduled for the rest of the semester. “We want to encourage others to make kindness a part of their every day life,” Dworak said.
