The managing editor of The Equinox, Theresa King, was awarded a spot in the New Jersey Press Foundation’s Jules L. Plangere paid summer 2017 internship program – one of the most coveted programs of young journalists. After an evaluation of writing samples, a letter of recommendation and writing samples, winners get the opportunity to work in a New Jersey Press Association member newspaper newsroom of their choice. King will be interning at her top choice – the Asbury Park Press. Out of the 31 applicants, King was the top applicant.
