Facilities Department Fails to Deliver on Promised Remediation
More than a month after the Facilities Department assured the FDU community that the lead in our drinking water would be remediated, water fountains and still remain disconnected, “out of order,” or labeled “non-potable.”
Facilities had emailed the FDU community on Oct. 17 stating that water shutdowns were going to occur in six campus buildings between Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.
No further updates have been released since then. Lead remains in the water, and remediation efforts, such as the installation of water filters, remain undone.
